Honey & Garlic Remedy
Ingredients (for 4oz jar)
- Organic garlic – 1 head
- Unpasteurized liquid honey
- Fresh thyme – 1 sprig (optional)
- Fresh rosemary needles – 3to 6 (optional)
Peel the cloves and crush them slightly with the back of the knife. Add them in a jar and put the thyme and rosemary needles (if you choose to use them).
Then, pour enough honey to cover the cloves, but make sure you leave a 3inch space from the top. The reason for the space is because there will be a fermentation which will make cloves bubble and expand.
Snap or screw the lid and let the jar stay for 3-5 days. Don’t forget to put a plate under the jar to avoid a mess if the mixture overflows.
During this period, the cloves will become sweeter thanks to the honey, while the honey will get some of the garlic’s benefits.
After this period, keep the cloves in the fridge to maintain their freshness. Eat one to two of these cloves every day to boost your immune system and prevent colds, flu, and other illnesses and infections from developing.
Flip the jar upside down every day to keep garlic cloves well saturated all the time.
